Prayer works

Beginning tonight and continuing throughout the Jewish High Holy days, friends of Christians in Defense of Israel will do something that is beyond the comprehension of the United Nations and the enemies of Israel. We will pray for peace for Israel.  See my message below — Mat.
Prayer works!

Last year at this time, Prime Minister Netanyahu took the U.N. podium by storm, calling out members for their vicious criticism that was detached from all reality and that placed the Jewish State in the crosshairs of its enemies. He challenged the members of the organization to consider a reputable source for history, rather than their biased revisionist documents...

"[Y]ou can read about [history] in a somewhat weightier publication — it's called the Bible. I highly recommend it. I hear it even got 4 ½ out of 5 stars on Amazon. And it's a great read. I read it every week."

Some may say that the Prime Minister's admonishment fell on deaf ears at the UN. But, we know that the UN is now under intense scrutiny because pro-Israel Americans, including tens of thousands of friends of Christians in Defense of Israel, PRAY on behalf of God's "precious possession," the "apple of His eye" (Zechariah 2:8)!"

Starting with the Trump administration's decision to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, which we petitioned and prayed for, we have seen come to fruition a number of pro-Israel actions orchestrated by the Trump administration and the U.S. Congress. The United Nations, Iran, the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, and other enemies of Israel are ALL feeling the force of our prayers.

That's why Christians in Defense of Israel will continue to rally friends like you to PRAY FOR THE NATION OF ISRAEL during Yamim Nora'im -- the High Holy Days

Here are just a few of our prayer points:

• Pray for the Jewish people during this time of renewal, prayer, and repentance.  (Colossians 2:6-7)
• Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Psalm 122:6)
• Pray for Israeli leaders.  (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

+ + This is a season of renewal, prayer, repentance, and celebration for the Jews!

Rosh Hashanah (September 9-11) is the celebration of the birthday of the universe – and the commemoration of the day that God created Adam and Eve. Rosh Hashanah launches Yamim Nora'im (High Holy Days) and the Jewish New Year.

"Rosh Hashanah is followed by 10 days of repentance – or the '10 Days of Returning to God.'  Then, the High Holy Days continue with Yom Kippur 'when Jews gather in synagogue for 25 hours of fasting, prayer, and inspiration.' It is regarded as the 'Sabbath of Sabbaths.' On this day forgiveness of sins is also asked of God," as described by
Yom Kippur is followed by the holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah.
Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection God provided for the children of Israel when they left Egypt. Simchat Torah is a time of reading the Torah scrolls. It's the only time of year the scrolls are taken out of the ark and read at night. This is a time of great rejoicing when Jews sing and dance around the Torah reading table in the synagogue.
Israel is at the very center of God's plans for our world yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And yet this tiny nation faces hostile enemies who want nothing more than to utterly destroy the Jewish state.

In Genesis 12:3, God told Abraham, the father of the nation of Israel… "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

When you pray for and bless Israel, you are invoking God's blessing on your life and on America.

Click here to commit to pray for the nation of Israel during the High Holy Days of renewal and repentance. Your name will be immediately added as a prayer partner with thousands of other pro-Israel friends.
God bless you. God bless Israel. And God bless America.
