The Left's blind spot

Anti-Semitism has again risen to the forefront of our nation’s discourse in the wake of the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre. Now, members of the Left are exposed for the hypocrisy of blaming members of the Right while turning a blind eye to one of the most prolific anti-Semites among their own.

Christians in Defense of Israel is calling on the Democratic National Committee and other Democrat leaders to denounce anti-Semitic radical Louis Farrakhan. Click here to be included in our petition delivery to the DNC and key leaders of the Democrat party. See below for more details – Mat.

While wrongfully attempting to blame President Trump for a rise in anti-Semitism leading to the Pittsburgh shootings, members of the Left choose to ignore the hateful rhetoric of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who is among the most outspoken and radical members of the Left and vociferously anti-Semitic.

Just two weeks ago Farrakhan likened Jews to "termites" in a videotaped speech he posted to Twitter.

Today, even as the funerals are taking place for the victims of the Tree of Life Synagogue massacre, Left-leaning organizations and people refuse to denounce Farrakhan’s blatant anti-Semitism.

+ + The Women’s March has a Farrakhan problem

As reported by The Atlantic, The Women’s March organization, “finds itself embroiled in an unexpected controversy after the initial refusal of several of its leaders to distance themselves from one of America’s leading anti-Semites, the Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan.”

“Like a series of other contemporary movements for social justice—Me Too, Time’s Up, Never Again—the Women’s March emphasizes accountability.” Yet, it took the Women’s March almost an entire year for the group to “mildly” repudiate Farrakhan’s words, The Atlantic reported. That foot-dragging “reveals anti-Semitism as a crucial blind spot of contemporary left-wing activism.”

Ben & Jerry’s, the politically far-Left ice cream maker, recently stated that they’re “comfortable” with their partnership with the Women’s March despite the group’s leadership’s ties to Farrakhan. Three Women’s March co-chairs — Linda Sarsour, Carmen Perez, and Tamika Mallory have ties with Farrakhan.

And, consider these similarities between Farrakhan and Robert Bowers (the Pittsburgh shooter):

Farrakhan has consistently described the Jewish synagogue as the “Synagogue of Satan.” Bowers wrote, “Jews are the children of Satan.”

Farrakhan has claimed, “the Satanic Jews…control everything and mostly everybody.” Bowers frequently alleged in posts that "Jews control the nation" (including President Trump).

+ + The scourge of anti-Semitism can have no place in American culture.

Anti-Semitism is an ugly cancer that must be eliminated. And yet the Democratic Party has been slow to repudiate and condemn the vile words of Louis Farrakhan.

Christians in Defense of Israel is petitioning the Democratic National Committee and Democrat members of Congress, calling on them to denounce Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan for his hate-filled anti-Semitic remarks.

+ + Schooling the media

The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC and other Left-leaning media outlets have relentlessly attempted to drum up high-profile Jewish Americans to assert that President Trump should be held responsible for inciting the Pittsburgh violence, even though the shooter was anti-Trump.

In an on-air exchange, as reported by The Blaze, “MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin tried valiantly Sunday to get Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer to criticize President Donald Trump for the mass murder at a Pittsburgh synagogue the day before."

"But Dermer wasn’t having it, noting to Mohyeldin that anti-Semitism was a growing problem around the world before Trump became president and went further by saying he was ‘very pleased’ with Trump’s statements against anti-Semitism in the wake of the synagogue attack.”

WE CONDEMN ALL ANTI-SEMITISM and Farrakhan’s racist statements and call on others, especially those who have supported or stood by him, to do the same.
